Bellevue Wolverines: The Dominant Force in High School Football

Bellevue High School near Seattle became a dynasty under coach Butch Goncharov, winning 10 state championships in 13 years. The run began with a title in 1983 but accelerated in 2001 when a determined senior class committed to building something lasting.

The program's defining moment came in 2004 when Bellevue upset De La Salle, California's top-ranked team with a legendary winning streak.
